Twine
| 17 yards of Fabric Twine |
What can you make with random thrift store bias tape? Fabric twine! As I was cruising Pinterest the other day I saw this awesome twine made of fabric scraps. Most of my scraps are not long strips, but more of random size squares or funking shape pieces which would probably not work for making twine. As I was searching through the sewing bins at my favorite thrift shop I found two bags full of bias tape for $1.00! I knew there was not enough of any one color to actually use as its intended purpose, but bought it anyway.
When unloading my finds, including 19 vintage patterns and several vintage buttons, I looked over and sitting there on my lovely chest was a wood spool. My mind flashed back to the fabric twine...I am a genius! Apparently subconsciously, I was thinking about this twine when I saw the bias tape. Now if I could just remember where I put my coffee cup...
P.S. One tip if you are going to make your own fabric twine: Sew all the strips together. It will make the process so much easier!
