Operation Office Overhaul 2015, Problem #1

Yes I am a hoarder, yes I do like to be organized, and yes I tend to make a mess in my office.  Glad we got that cleared up!  I decided that I needed to make my office (the sun room) look more professional, kind of like I had some idea of what I was doing.  Also I needed to stop wasting my hard earned money on sewing supplies I already had, but didn't know I had them.  I had tons of storage by way of rolling carts and shelving, but it was all still a jumbled mess. Problem #1:  Fabric Storage I have a lot of fabric.  If you have read my blog in the past you would know that I am an addict.  I freely admit this.  I have no intentions of giving up my addiction either.  That being said, now that I have solved this problem of storage I am much more picky about what I buy. I purchased these shelves when we first moved here almost two years ago, from K-mart of all places. Now beware they are completely unfinished wood, sandin...

17 yards of Fabric Twine What can you make with random thrift store bias tape?  Fabric twine!  As I was cruising Pinterest the other day I saw this awesome twine made of fabric scraps.   Most of my scraps are not long strips, but more of random size squares or funking shape pieces which would probably not work for making twine.  As I was searching through the sewing bins at my favorite thrift shop I found two bags full of bias tape for $1.00!  I knew there was not enough of any one color to actually use as its intended purpose, but bought it anyway.    When unloading my finds, including 19 vintage patterns and several vintage buttons, I looked over and sitting there on my lovely chest was a wood spool.  My mind flashed back to the fabric twine...I am a genius!  Apparently subconsciously,  I was thinking about this twine when I saw the bias tape. Now if I could just remember where I put my coffee cup... P.S. One tip if y...

As many of my new products come from others asking "Do you make ________?" And that is how these came about... Bandana Bibs $6.00 each These are made of cotton with a layer of flannel in between and a white terry cloth backing, two sets of snaps to adjust to fit your little one.  Several colors and prints are available.   Coming to the shop on January 19th!
